Start the Write Way: Young Scribs Club Officially Launches
An interactive and fun-filled gathering for writers aged 7–17 and the young at heart.
On October 24, 2026, Scribblory officially launched Start the Write Way: Young Scribs Club (YSC), an interactive and fun-filled gathering held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Level 4, The Stacks, One Ayala (Ayala Malls).
The event brought together young writers, Writing Proficiency Tutorial students, Young Scribs Club members, their parents, and featured guests for a day of creativity, storytelling, and connection. More than just a launch, the gathering introduced the club’s purpose of reducing children’s screen time by building a writing routine, nurturing young writers, encouraging friendships, and cultivating a lasting love for stories and writing.

The program began with welcome remarks by Teacher Guilly Tejano, who introduced Scribblory and welcomed the participants.

This was followed by a creative icebreaker led by Scribblory Administrator Nichelle Dizon, where participants got to know one another by sharing their favorite books, characters, hobbies, and other interests.
The gathering also featured Readers’ Theatre, where Sir Joem Antonio’s Group—Juliana Odoño, Gino Pinga, and Jaime Benitez—brought a writing piece to life through a read-aloud performance.
This was followed by an author interview with Sabrina Victoria, author of Princess of Himmappan, who shared insights into her literary journey.
One of the highlights was The Story Telephone, a collaborative storytelling activity led by Scribblory Administrator Aiko Hara that brought together both children and adults. Each group began with an opening sentence from its first participant, with the others taking turns adding two sentences to build the story until the final participant crafted the ending. The children’s group came up with The Disappearing House, while the adults’ group titled their story School Is Cool.
The activity encouraged the participants to build on each other’s ideas and embrace unexpected creative directions. It was a fun reminder that storytelling can become even more exciting when imagination and cooperation come together.
To acknowledge their participation, each member of the children’s group was awarded with Sabrina Victoria’s book Princess of Himmapan while everyone in the adults’ team received Biblio’s blind book date of their choice.
The program continued with a special Book-in-Progress segment featuring writing student Daniella Royeca Ree. Through an interview about her book-making process, attendees gained a glimpse into the dedication and creativity involved in bringing stories to life.

The official launch followed with the awarding of certificates to the featured guests and a group photo, welcoming everyone into the Young Scribs Club community.
In the closing remarks, Elaine Marie Factor shared more about the Young Scribs Club, outlining its schedule, monthly themes, weekly meetings, and writing expeditions. She gave participants a glimpse of the exciting opportunities and experiences that await members as they continue to learn, connect, and grow as writers.

The event concluded with a socialization session, giving attendees time to connect, browse, and purchase books, and learn more about Scribblory. It was wonderful to see how such a short and intimate gathering built harmony among the participants, a big step toward building a culture of friendship, passion, and support within the young writers’ community.
